GapScore’s Foundational Technology Published in Cancer Research

Research underlying GapScore’s technology has been published in Cancer Research. The study, “Detection of Single-Stranded DNA Gaps Reveals a Functional Biomarker of Therapeutic Response,” describes an approach for detecting single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) gaps and demonstrates the potential of gap burden as a functional biomarker of cancer treatment response.

Led by GapScore co-founder Jenna Whalen, Ph.D., in the laboratory of co-founder Sharon Cantor, Ph.D., the work provides the scientific foundation for GapScore’s approach to developing ssDNA gap-based biomarkers and new strategies for cancer drug discovery.
